Electric vehicle (EV) drivers heading to picturesque village of Whistler will now have plenty of options to charge as the opening of 25 new charging stations was announced this morning.
Natural Resources Canada’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program and the Resort Municipality of Whistler each contributed $117,755 to the project.
The new Level 2 charging stations are all located in public parking lots across Whistler. Locations include the main parking access to Whistler Village, Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, Whistler Conference Centre, the municipal works yard, the Whistler library and health centre, and popular parks and nearby museums.
For Tesla owners there are 72kW Urban Superchargers located in Whistler at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. There are also 10 150kW Superchargers approximately 56km to the south in Squamish.
