Watch Tesla car crash avoidance compilation [VIDEO]

Despite continuing to win safety awards around the world (latest IIHS safety award) More often than not we hear stories about how unsafe Tesla’s and its Autopilot feature are, and that the system is so far from true autonomous driving. But what often gets missed in the noise is how truly remarkable its other safety features are, all of which contribute it to being called one of the, if not the safest car ever built.

Usually you see car crash compilation videos on Youtube, but this one is different. Youtube user BarronVonSchnitzel has put together a compilation video of near misses from Tesla vehicles where the cars safety features have detected a potential collision ahead, often well before the human driver has noticed, if they would have at all.

Say what you will about Tesla and Autopilot, but I’m sure there are MANY more cases out there like these where a Tesla has avoided a collision thanks to it’s advanced safety features, or prevented one altogether.

Have you had a similar experience? We’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
