Toyota is significantly reducing the price of its 2025 bZ4X electric SUV in Canada and the United States. The price cuts are paired with additional features and a new trim level in the US, aiming to make Toyota’s sole fully electric SUV a more compelling option in the EV market.
2025 bZ4X Price Reductions
In Canada, the 2025 Toyota bZ4X sees price reductions across its lineup, with some trims dropping by over C$3,400. The new starting price for the base LE FWD model is now C$46,515, down from C$53,025 last year. For those seeking all-wheel drive (AWD), Toyota introduces the new LE AWD trim at C$47,016, providing better traction and power at a modest increase over the base model. Higher trims, like the XLE AWD and XLE AWD with Technology Package, have also been reduced by over C$3,000.

Lower Price, New Features
TToyota has also packed more standard features into the bZ4X. The LE AWD model brings an additional motor for a combined 215 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque, compared to 201 hp in the base front-wheel-drive version. This trim also introduces Toyota’s off-road-oriented X-MODE system with multi-terrain select, downhill assist control, and crawl mode—features that enhance its winter and light off-road performance.
Meanwhile, the XLE AWD trim gains new driver assistance features like Front Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, and a steering wheel touch-sensor system. At the top, the XLE AWD with Technology Package benefits from Traffic Jam Assist for easier driving in congested conditions.
The Toyota bZ4X has struggled to stand out in the EV market due to its modest driving range and slower charging speeds. The base FWD version delivers up to 406km (252 miles) on a full charge, while AWD models achieve 367km (228 miles). Charging remains capped at 150 kW, enabling an 80% charge in approximately 30 minutes under ideal conditions.
