Tesla Tequila coming to Canada soon, but without the tequila

When Tesla surprised everybody a few weeks ago with the launch of Tesla Tequila, fans quickly ordered every single one of the $250 USD bottles.

That left many disappointed Tesla Tequila hopefuls who weren’t quick enough to order within the first 4 or so hours after its launch. Also disappointed were the Canadians (and certain US states, and others worldwide) who were not allowed to order due to the regulations on cross-border alcohol distribution.

If you were one of those, you may be able to get your hands on a watered down version of the Tesla Tequila soon. Elon Musk revealed today he plans to sell worldwide an empty version of the uniquely shaped bottle, and new shot glasses.

While Musk didn’t provide a timeline on when it will become available, it could happen soon. In the last few days the Canadian version of the Tesla Shop has a new product listing under the ‘Lifestyle’ section – Tesla Tequila! When you click on it it just takes you to the Lifestyle section, where unfortunately there is no Tesla Tequila bottle to order.

If you’re interested in buying either the bottle or the shot glasses, you’re probably going to want to do it quickly when it does appear. Since each bottle is hand-blown and unique, it will likely be a limited supply only.

Make sure you check back as we’ll let you know as soon as it becomes available. You can also follow us on Twitter for all the latest breaking Tesla & EV news.
