Tesla has started construction on two new Superchargers in Canada, with one being in Calgary, Alberta, and the other in Ingersoll, Ontario.
Calgary Supercharger
After having no Superchargers in Calgary until last year, there will soon be a three. Construction has started on a new Supercharger in the northeast part of the city behind the Great West Car Wash on Aviation Way NE, according to photos shared by Darcy on the Tesla Owners Club Alberta Facebook group.
It is difficult to tell from the photo, but based on the area fenced off for construction, it appears the site will be around 12 stalls. Crews look like they are still working on the underground conduit, so it will likely still be some time before this site opens, maybe before the end of the year.
Ingersoll Supercharger
This week Tesla updated their Supercharger map with over a dozen new potential sites across Canada. One of them was in Ingersoll, Ontario, and the site is already under construction.
After we shared the news on X, one of our followers, Darcy, was able to drive by and confirm its location. The new Ingersoll Supercharger is being built at the new Culloden Heights shopping center (146 Culloden Rd). Crews here also appears to be finishing up the underground work with all of the conduit in place and backfill being put in in preparation for re-paving and the installation of the Supercharger equipment.
