Tesla has started construction of a new Supercharger station in Blind Bay, British Columbia, even though Tesla’s map of upcoming locations does not include a proposed Supercharger in this area.
Blind Bay is a small community of about 2,000 residents on the southern shore of Shuswap Lake, approximately 25km west of Salmon Arm and about 100km east of Kamloops, the two closest Supercharger locations. Despite no plans being uncovered for this Supercharger, or Tesla even announcing they were working to bring one to Blind Bay, the new Supercharger is located in a small retail complex just off the Trans-Canada Highway at 2425 Golf Course Drive.
It has also gone unnoticed until now, according to a photo shared on X by Supercharger tracker MarcoThe Blind Bay Supercharger looks close to completion, and features 12 of Tesla’s latest V4 Supercharger posts.

Given the state of construction, and the general delays we have seen in getting Superchargers in Canada turned on, the Blind Bay Supercharger will likely go live in early 2025.
There are currently six other Supercharger stations under construction in BC, all of them in the lower mainland. However, Tesla has big plans for BC, and has a total of 15 Supercharger stations across the province under development.
