Tesla has given us an up close behind the scenes look at the Model Y production line at Giga Shanghai. In a video livestreamed on YouTube video New China TV shows off the logistics and speed at which Tesla operates Giga Shanghai.

New China TV took an in-depth tour of the facility with Tesla employee interviews in English throughout. The tour started at the end of the facility, where quality checks were made on Tesla Model Y’s coming off the line. The tour then continued through the facility stopping at all the specific parts of the line.

According to the video a Tesla Model Y will move from the first station to the final check-in in roughly two hours, with a Model Y coming off the line every minute or less.

The company rep on tour also confirmed that Shanghai is the most efficient production line in the company, if not the world.

During the tour, a company rep also confirmed that they are exporting vehicles from Giga Shanghai to India, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and other regions. They also noted they are assisting Fremont with orders, which came as a bit of a surprise.
