Tesla Q2 2022 earnings call scheduled for July 20, 2022

Tesla will publish their Q2 2022 shareholder deck with their quarterly financial results after markets close on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. That will then be followed by a live question and answer webcast later that afternoon at 4:30pm CDT (5:30pm EDT).

After a two-year string of setting new delivery records, the automaker revealed on Saturday they had delivered 254,965 vehicles in the second quarter of the year. That was down 21% compared to the previous quarter, with the lower numbers due to Giga Shanghai being shut down for three weeks at the beginning of the quarter.

That number was right around consensus estimates from Wall Street analysts, which had pegged Tesla for an average of 258,000 deliveries in the quarter.

Paired with the ongoing supply chain issues, Tesla was able to produce 258,580 cars from their four vehicle factories between April and the end of June.

Despite the fact the numbers were lower than Tesla would have wanted, they are still on track to break 1 million deliveries for the year. With the factory shutdowns hopefully a thing of the past, Tesla now has four gigafactories producing cars. Giga Berlin recently set a production record just a few months after opening, and Giga Texas is now producing both the Model Y Long Range with 2170 cells and Model Y Standard Range with 4680 cells.
