Last year we told you about a proposal to rezone and redevelop a large industrial building at 2505 Eastbrook Parkway in Burnaby to be used as a new Tesla Sales, Service, and Delivery Center.
The plans for the new location have now been revealed, showing Tesla plans to do some signification renovations on the 30,000 square foot building.
Obtained by Drive Tesla contributor Marco (@MarcoRPTesla), the plans show Tesla will have to fix the cracking concrete slab, fix cracking exterior walls, and possibly install structural bracing at various points in the building.
Once all that work is complete, work will begin on overhauling the interior by adding a showroom to display 3 vehicles, a lounge, offices, and customer and employee restrooms.
The Service area will also be built out with 10 vehicle lifts and 14 service stalls.
One the outside the building will get all new paint and signage, and the parking lot will be stripped and repaved.
On the western side of the building Tesla will install 6 dual connector Destination Chargers, as well as two V3 Superchargers.
We haven’t been able to confirm if work has begun on this location, but if any of our readers are in the area please drive by and let us know at tips@driveteslacanada.ca.
This will be Tesla’s fourth location in the lower mainland. Two new locations opened last year in Richmond and Surrey, adding to the existing locations in Vancouver and West Vancouver.
Tesla has also recently started construction on a Sales, Service, and Delivery Center in Langford just outside of Victoria on Vancouver Island, and has plans to open another in Kelowna.
