Tesla is planning to build a large 28-stall Supercharger in Toronto, Ontario, according to recently uncovered permits.
Earlier this year Tesla added a pin for an upcoming Supercharger in Toronto, in the area of the Stock Yards District. Often times these pins are just general locations until Tesla finalizes the location, but as it turns out that is the exact location the company is planning to build a Supercharger.
Zoning permits submitted late last year but only recently discovered by Supercharger sleuth Marco show that Tesla is intending to build a 28-stall Supercharger at 1970 St Clair Ave W. According to the permit description, this Supercharger will be installed on the “ground floor of the south parking garage” at the Stock Yards Village Shopping Mall.
Given the prominent location on the ground floor of the parking garage, these should be easy to spot once they are under construction. According to Tesla’s map, this Toronto Supercharger is still ‘in development,’ with no timing given for when construction may begin.
Currently there are 7 other Superchargers under construction or waiting to be turned on in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). These locations are Oakville, Brampton, two in Vaughan, and three in Mississauga.
