Tesla opens Superchargers in Port Alberni, Golden, and Brampton [B.C. & Ontario]

Tesla’s Supercharger team in Canada has been busy as of late, switching to kWh billing, opening the network to other electric vehicles (EVs), and also opening three new stations in British Columbia and Ontario last week.

Port Alberni Supercharger

After having just two Supercharger stations earlier this year, one of which was only 72kW, Vancouver Island now has four, and its second V3 250kW station after the opening of the Port Alberni Supercharger. The station is located at the Pacific Rim Shopping Centre, in front of Staples, at 3555 Johnston Rd. It features 8 V3 Supercharger stalls, with lots of nearby amenities, adding a great charging spot on the way to the west coast of the island.

Golden Supercharger

Despite having a small population of less than 5,000 residents, the town of Golden, BC now has three Supercharger stations, all within one kilometer of each other. That density is required thanks to its key location along a major travelling route from BC to Alberta.

The third Golden Supercharger was a bit of a surprise, with it first being discovered under construction and near completion in June. The site features 8 V3 stalls and is located in the parking lot of the Subway restaurant at 1402 Trans-Canada Hwy.

Brampton Supercharger

Not to be left out, there is also a new Supercharger on the other side of the country in Brampton, Ontario. Located at the Canadian Tire at 2850 Queen Street East, the site features 12 V3 Superchargers.
