Tesla launches Year of the Dragon offers in China

Tesla has launched some promotional offers for owners and buyers in China as part of the Chinese New Year -Year of the Dragon celebrations.

Enhanced Autopilot Trial

Tesla has yet to launch Full Self-Driving (FSD) in China, but the company does offer Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) as an optional upgrade. EAP includes almost all of the same features as FSD, with the exception of Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control (TLSSC) and the most important feature, Autosteer on City Streets.

To help to get more customers a glimpse of the EAP feature set, and hopefully get them to purchase the upgrade, Tesla is giving all owners in China a free 30-day EAP trial.

Just like the recent launch of free FSD transfers in North America, Tesla is now allowing customers in China to transfer their EAP software when purchasing a new car. Although FSD Beta is not yet available in China, customers can still purchase the FSD Capability option, and if you have, you can also transfer it to your new car.

Along with EAP and FSD transfers, Tesla is also allowing customers to transfer their unlimited Supercharging to a new car.

As with the offers in North America, these transfers are only available if you take delivery by March 31, 2024.

Other Offers

Tesla is also offering a deal on their Cold Weather Package, discounting it by 50% from the regular price. The Cold Weather Package is available for Model S and Model X that includes a number of features for owners in cold climates, like heated seats, heated steering wheel, and more.

Another 50% discount is for customers purchasing the upgrade to add rear heated seats in older Model 3s that already have the feature installed, but not activated from the factory.
