Tesla Insurance continues to launch across the United States and is officially live in Oregon, Virginia and Colorado.
Including today’s three states, Tesla Insurance now covers over 118 million people in eight states.
Tesla Insurance does not require additional hardware and uses real-time driving behaviour to calculate your premium.
The App tracks forward collision warnings, hard braking, aggressive turning, unsafe following, and forced Autopilot disengagements to calculate the score.
Although it is still in Beta, your safety score will determine how much you are paying per month for insurance. The higher your safety score, the better rate you pay.
As well, as you improve or lower your score, your next month’s premium will adjust.
Through the App, you can monitor your real-time score, manage your policy, see your insurance card and even file a claim or request roadside assistance.
The company also launched a fresh new website that is clean and easy to navigate.
