Tesla Bot action figure launches, crashes website

Tesla fans can now get a taste of the Tesla Bot as the company has made the Tesla Bot Action Figure available on its online shop. The 1:10 figurine comes with a charging stand and CyberHammer, but it proved so popular it crashed the online store.

Tesla has promised an autonomous and humanoid robot known as the Bot. While the availability of the assistant is still in the future, Tesla has made the Tesla Bot Action Figure available on its online store, modeled after the second generation Optimus robot that it unveiled late last year.

According to the listing description, the playable figurine is a 1:10 replica of the real robot. It is 18.2 cm in height and 5.5 cm in width and weighs 48 g.

The mini-humanoid consists of more than 40 different parts and has 20 points of articulation or pivot points that allow it to assume different poses. The collectable bot figurine comes with a charging stand and CyberHammer.

The action figure can now be ordered in Canada ($55) and the US ($40). At least, it should be, however ever since it was added to the shop, virtually no one has been able to actual purchase one, with the website returning errors and customers unable to complete their orders.

Tesla plans to use thousands of the real humanoid robots in its factories starting next year and will sell them to the public starting in 2026. The Optimus can now carry out advanced tasks and autonomously locate and plug into a charging station.
