Subaru Confirms Canadian Pricing for Two New Electric SUVs Arriving This Spring

Subaru will soon be significantly expanding its electric vehicle (EV) lineup in Canada, announcing official pricing for two all-new battery-electric SUVs set to arrive in dealerships this spring.

Revealed during the Montreal Auto Show, the new 2026 Subaru Trailseeker and 2026 Subaru Uncharted will join the Solterra, effectively tripling Subaru’s EV offerings for Canadian buyers.

Positioned at the top of the lineup, the Trailseeker is Subaru’s most capable electric SUV to date and is designed with utility and adventure in mind. Measuring more than 150 millimetres longer and roughly 25 millimetres taller than the Solterra, the Trailseeker offers additional passenger and cargo space while maintaining Subaru’s rugged identity.

Power comes from a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup producing approximately 375 horsepower, paired with a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. Subaru estimates driving range of up to 420 kilometres on a full charge.

The Trailseeker also stands out with 210 millimetres of ground clearance and a towing capacity of up to 1,500 kilograms (3,300 lbs). Standard features include Subaru’s dual-function X-Mode with Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings, grip control, and downhill assist, reinforcing its off-road credentials. A North American Charging Standard (NACS) port comes standard, along with battery preconditioning to improve DC fast-charging performance in both hot and cold conditions.

Inside, the Trailseeker debuts the largest touchscreen ever offered in a Subaru—a 14-inch display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin features a flat floor, dual 15W wireless phone chargers, rear USB-C ports, and Subaru’s full EyeSight suite of advanced driver-assistance systems.

Sitting below the Trailseeker is the all-new Subaru Uncharted, a smaller subcompact electric SUV that shares its platform with the Toyota C-HR. Despite its compact footprint, the Uncharted features a larger 77 kWh battery pack. Front-wheel drive (FWD) variants are rated for up to 480 kilometres of range, while AWD versions are expected to reach up to 460 kilometres.

The Uncharted also features a standard NACS charging port and supports DC fast charging at speeds up to 150 kW, allowing a 10 to 80 percent charge in roughly 30 minutes. An 11 kW onboard charger supports Level 1 and Level 2 charging at home.

Both new electric SUVs are scheduled to arrive at Subaru dealerships across Canada this spring.
