SpaceX’s Starlink factory in Bastrop, Texas, has hit a significant milestone. The company announced this week the new facility has already produced one million Starlink standard hardware kits just ten months after opening.
The Bastrop facility, which started operations in November 2023, has rapidly become a cornerstone of SpaceX’s hardware production capabilities. With just 10 months of production under its belt, this milestone means the factory can currently produce 100,000 Starlink terminals each month, or 1.2 million units annually, along with additional units from their original facility in Redmond, Washington.
As noted by the company, this manufacturing capacity is crucial as Starlink continues to grow its subscriber base. As of the most recent update from May, there are now over 3 million customers, up from 2.6 million in March.

Starlink, which aims to provide low-latency, high-speed internet across the globe, is now available in over 105 countries and territories.
The milestone has also rekindled discussions about a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO) for Starlink. Previously, Elon Musk suggested that an IPO would be likely once Starlink’s revenue growth became “smooth and predictable,” later adding that it wouldn’t happen at least 2025.
