For the first time, Tesla Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck owners will soon be able to enjoy SiriusXM. This integration, long awaited by Tesla’s Canadian and US customers, thanks to the 2024 Tesla Holiday Update.
SiriusXM’s integration brings its full streaming capabilities to Tesla’s three most popular electric vehicles (EVs), after previously only being available in the Model S and Model X (with retrofitting required for older models).
Starting with the 2024 Holiday Update, which is set to start rolling out within the next week, SiriusXM will appear in the media sources menu for the Model 3/Y and Cybertruck. The launch of SiriusXM will also include a three-month free trial requiring no credit card.
With SiriusXM, Tesla owners will now have access to hundreds of ad-free music channels spanning all genres and decades, customizable artist stations, live sports coverage, news, and an extensive podcast library.
According to SiriusXM, the experience in Tesla vehicles will be built upon the platform’s next-generation architecture, which focuses on customization and user-friendly navigation. Key features include:
- Personalized Content: A “For You” page adapts to the user’s preferences and evolves over time.
- Custom Stations: Create stations based on favorite artists or bands.
- Comprehensive Sports Coverage: Over 20 channels of live games, analysis, and expert commentary.
- Voice Search: Hands-free control for safe and convenient access.
- Centralized Library: Save favourite content, including channels, podcasts, and artists, for easy access.
