Neuralink Show & Tell delayed to November 30

Neuralink was expected to host a “show & tell” event on October 31, where as the name implies Elon Musk’s company was expected to show off the latest advancements in its brain–machine interfaces.

Like some of Musk’s other events as of late, Neuralink’s event is being pushed back one month and will now take place on November 30, 2022.

Musk announced the change on Twitter, however unlike the delay for AI Day 2, he did not say why the event will no longer be held on Halloween.

The most recent update from Neuralink on their progress came last year when the company released an impressive video of one of their monkeys named Pager playing a computer game using only its mind.

That video game was Pong, and the 9-year old Macaque was able to learn how to play it just six weeks after receiving the implant.

Neuralink is still waiting to receive approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to move from testing their technology on animals to humans.

It looked like they were close to receiving that approval earlier this year when the company published a job posting in January looking for a clinical trial director.
