Lucid Motors CEO and VP of Manufacturing give behind the scenes look at AMP-1 factory [Video]

As final production nears, Lucid Motors is continuing to reveal more information about its first vehicle, the Lucid Air. The latest is a behind the scenes tour of their new manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, Arizona.

The tour is led by Lucid’s VP of Manufacturing Peter Hochholdinger, who takes Lucid’s other Peter, CEO Peter Rawlinson through the various stages of production at the factory, known as AMP-1 (Advanced Manufacturing Plant-1).

The 5-minute video highlights much of the technology being used in the body shop, paint shop, and general assembly area that is currently building release candidate (RC) vehicles. This is the final stage before volume production begins.

According to VINs seen in the video, Lucid has already made more than 100 RC Lucid Air sedans in an attempt to iron out any production issues and achieve the best quality possible.

Lucid is expecting final production to begin soon, and is targeting to deliver the first Lucid Air electric sedans in the second half of this year.
