FSD Beta 10.12 delayed until “this weekend”: Elon Musk

Tesla was supposed to release version 10.12 of Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta in the US on Tuesday, a date already delayed by nearly one week.

Unfortunately Tuesday came and went with no sign of the update, which was bad news for FSD Beta in Canada as it was supposed to be deployed north of the border for the first time on Friday.

It looks like US owners will have only have to wait at least a few days longer, but Canadian owners potentially almost another week.

In response to a request for an update late last night from @WholeMarsBlog on Twitter, Elon Musk said the release has been delayed until “this weekend.”

Unfortunately Musk didn’t clarify if there would be a simultaneous release on Friday in both the US and Canada.

However, given the previous timeline with a three-day gap in release dates between the two countries, it would not be surprising if Canada doesn’t see FSD Beta 10.12 until early next week.

That means almost another week of careful driving to maintain a 100 (or maybe 98) Safety Score to be allowed to download the software.
