Ford teases a new all-electric commercial vehicle for Europe

Ford released a teaser for their second all-electric commercial vehicle for Europe. Ford also confirmed they would premier the vehicle on May 9 in an event.

As per the announcement:

“The new announcement will mark the next key milestone on the road to zero emissions for all Ford vehicle sales in Europe and carbon neutrality across its European footprint of facilities, logistics and suppliers by 2035.”

Recently, Ford confirmed that they started producing the Ford E-Transit for European markets in Turkey.

In January, the Ford E-Transit started production in Kansas for North American customers.

The company also announced four additional commercial models joining their electrified line-up. Ford announced cargo and passenger versions of the Transit Custom would come in 2023. While cargo and passenger verions of the Transit Courier would come in 2024. This brings the total Ford electrified line-up in Europe to nine vehicles so far.

Although the teaser does not name the vehicle, many assume it is a battery-electric version of the Transit Custom based on the previous announcement.

The short video features LED headlights, the E sign in the front, and a sleeker design than we have seen in the past from Ford commercial vehicles.

The teaser video can be seen below.
