Current Taxi offering free rides for health care workers next month

The all-Tesla taxi service Current Taxi will once again be offering free rides for health care workers next month in Victoria and Kelowna, British Columbia.

To thank the continued dedication of health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, Current Taxi will give complimentary rides between from May 1 to May 14 2021 for Island and Interior health care workers.

The company started the program in the spring of 2020, providing 475 free rides for health care workers between April 1-14.

Support Health Care Workers – Buy A Ride

New this year is the ability for members of the community to buy a pre or post-shift ride for a health care worker. You can donate $10, $20, or any amount you can afford at currenttaxi.ca/heathcare-hero.

The free trips are limited to within a 20km radius of the eligible hospitals, and a valid health authority badge must be shown upon pickup.
