Construction of new Tesla Supercharger begins in Peterborough, Ontario

Update: The Peterborough Tesla Supercharger is now open.

Earlier this year we told you how the new Tesla Superchargers at Quinte Mall in Belleville, Ontario had quickly become a favourite amongst Tesla owners.

We also learned then that a future Supercharger location could be opening soon in nearby Peterborough, Ontario.

Now it appears that construction of at least 7 new Supercharger stalls has begun at Landsdowne Place.

According to a photo posted by Green Canada on the TMC forums, the construction at 645 Lansdowne St W is still in the very early stages, with construction fencing and some initial digging having already taken place.

There has been no official word yet on the exact number of stalls, other than the information contained in the article from earlier this year. We also don’t know if these will be Tesla’s latest V3 Superchargers, which are capable of charging at up to 250kW, or 1,700km/hr+.

We recently shared on Twitter what may be the fastest charging rate recorded yet at the new V3 Superchargers in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
