2023 Polestar 2 pricing for Canada and US announced

Polestar last week announced a number of new features and updates coming to the 2023 Polestar 2. Today the automaker announced pricing for the single motor and dual motor variants, and the available upgrades, for both the Canadian and US markets.

In Canada, the 2023 Polestar 2 Single Motor will start at $53,950, making it eligible for the federal iZEV rebate, bringing the price down to $48,950.

The 2023 Polestar 2 Dual Motor also qualifies for the rebate, bringing the MSRP of $58,950 down to $53,950.

Both vehicles also qualify for additional provincial incentives, like the $8,000 rebate in Quebec ($7,000 after July 1, 2022) and $3,000 rebate in British Columbia.

One of the updates announced last week was the improved performance of the heat pump, which can now operate in a wider temperature range which results in increased real-world driving range.

Unfortunately to get that feature, you will have to pay an additional $5,700 for the Plus Pack.

The Plus Pack also includes “an advanced cabin air filter helping improve cabin air, and new air quality sensor and app will allow drivers to see a breakdown of the air circulating outside of the vehicle, including pollen types.”

The price of the Pilot Pack, which features Pilot Assist, Cross Traffic Alert with brake support, 360º camera visibility and more, stays at $4,700.

The Performance Pack, priced at $6,700, can be added to the car when purchased, or downloaded as a software update after the vehicle is delivered. The update will add 68 horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque, and is only available for dual-motor variant.

Polestar says deliveries of the 2023 Polestar 2 will begin in September. They have also updated their online configurator to reopen their order books, after shutting it down last week due to “high demand.”
