Tesla Model Y’s spotted road testing around Giga Shanghai

In another sign that mass production and deliveries of the made-in-China Model Y are just around the corner, some test vehicles were recently spotted driving around Giga Shanghai.

The video, taken on December 10 2020 by the popular YouTube channel WU WA, shows four Model Y’s driving along the perimeter road of the factory, and also along a short track meant to test the vehicle’s suspension.

Although the video is taken from a distance, we can clearly make out the lines of the electric SUV. The video appears to show a white, black, and midnight silver metallic Model Y. Interesting, the fourth Model Y is covered in protective film that is typically used when the vehicles are being shipped.

Unfortunately due the distance the drone was filming at, we can’t tell if the Model Y features a new dashboard that was hinted at in a recent sighting on public roads.
