After just two months of being available for purchase, Tesla has raised the price of the Model Y in China.
The price change affects both the Long Range (LR) and Performance variants, with both of them increasing by ¥8,000 ($1,545 CAD). The LR now starts at ¥347,900 ($67,100 CAD), while the Performance starts at ¥377,900 ($72,900 CAD).
According to Tesla’s Design Studio orders for the electric SUV placed now will be delivered in the second quarter of 2021.
Tesla in China has seen strong sales in the first few months of 2021. Despite February being a short month and it also being impacted by Chinese New Year celebrations, more than 18,000 units were delivered.
Making the numbers even more impressive, Tesla was also the only electric vehicle maker in China to see increasing sales from January to February.
