Watch a gutted Tesla Model S P100D take on one modified V8 muscle car after another

It appears not everyone is up to date on how quick a Tesla Model S P100D can be in a drag race.

If you follow the Tesla drag racing scene at all, you likely already know who the owner of this white Model S, is despite the attempt to block his face. I don’t know about you, but his accent and his shirt showing his YouTube channel might also be a bit of a giveaway.

The owner, who shall remain nameless, has modified his Model S and removed most of the interior, shaving off about 500lbs from the stock weight. Other than that, there are no other modifications to improve the performance, unlike the cars he’s about to take on.

In the video, he goes up against a number of modified muscle cars like a Ford Mustang Cobra, TT 5.0L Mustang, and a nitrous Foxbody Mustang (twice because [spoiler alert] he loses twice). Plus a surprise appearance by a Nissan GTR at the end, that could have a pretty good shot at beating the Model S.

It’s quite amusing watching how before each race, the competitor does some sort of smoke show/loud revving of the engine/pissing show, while the Model S quietly and unassumingly rolls up to the line.

We’ll let you watch the video to find out who wins each race. Then head to the comments below and let us know what you think.
