In September a completely stock Tesla Model S Plaid was able to complete the Nürburgring Nordschleife track in Germany in a time of 7:35.579, setting the EV lap record in the process.
Now Tesla has released a new video through their LinkedIn account to highlight the efforts of the team that made the record lap possible.
James, Technical Program Manager for Vehicle Dynamics is the main star of the video (other than the two Plaids of course).
During the nearly two and a half minute video, he talks about how his team finely tunes the vehicle from the ground up to ensure an optimal setup for the driver.
But his team doesn’t work in a bubble. James explains that since the work they do touches almost every aspect of the car, they work with almost every organization within Tesla to get their work done.
While the video does show us the red and black Model S Plaid cars, it unfortunately does not give us a glimpse of the modified Plaid we saw last week with the active aero wing.
