Tesla launches limited Cybertruck test drives in Canada, more locations to follow soon [Update]

Tesla Cybertruck test drives are now available in Canada, marking the first opportunity for Canadians to experience the automaker’s highly-anticipated vehicle up close less than a week after the first deliveries began in Canada.

The launch of these test drives is limited however. Currently they are only available at Tesla’s Barrhaven/Nepean location near Ottawa, Ontario.

Additionally, unlike typical Tesla test drives, the Cybertruck experience cannot be scheduled through the Tesla website. Instead, interested drivers must visit the Barrhaven/Nepean location (530 Motor Works Private) in person to arrange a test drive.

UPDATE Nov 9 8:55am PT: We have been told test drives are limited to Cybertruck reservation holders for now. Test drives for the general public will open at a later date.

While the Cybertruck is limited to test drives at this location, we have been told other locations in Ontario and Quebec are expected to also offer them as soon as next week, while locations in other parts of the country, particularly in BC, should offer them in the coming weeks.

Tesla started Cybetrtuck deliveries in Canada earlier this week, holding simultaneous events in Ontario and Quebec. Since then deliveries have expanded to British Columbia and Alberta.

Deliveries in Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia should begin this weekend.
