Tesla looks to expand into candy market with latest trademark applications

Tesla may be getting ready to enter a new market you might least expect. The company has filed four new trademark applications related to candy.

Tesla is best known for its electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage products, but what many non-owners don’t realize is that Tesla sells more than just cars and batteries, also selling beer, tequila, and most recently launching another new alcoholic beverage, Mezcal.

Apparently Elon Musk now wants to get Tesla into the candy business. According to new trademark applications published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) this week, those filings reveal Tesla could soon be selling four new candies in the near future called:

According to USPTO, two of the trademark applications were filed on June 25 and the other two were filed June 28, but none of them have been assigned to an attorney for review and approval yet.

Unlike patent filings, which may never end up making it to market in a sellable product, trademark applications are a near certainty that the product is going to be made. This is especially the case for Tesla, as all of their trademark applications, like most recently for the Cyberhammer, have become reality.
