Honda has announced a new series of electric vehicles coming in 2026. The new EVs will launch globally, starting with a sedan in the US.
The new line is known as the Honda 0 Series and will be based on two concept vehicles the Japanese automaker displayed at the CES. The first EV in the series will be based on the Saloon concept, while others will be based on the Space-Hub concept.
The new vehicles will be based on a slim EV platform that saves on weight with software enhancements and offers high ride heights for sportier performance. They are part of the 30 EVs Honda plans to introduce globally before 2030.
The Saloon concept sedan is a futuristic, low-riding sedan. Honda promises it will feature steer-by-wire tech in addition to motion control systems. The production version will be launched in the US first before making an appearance in Honda’s home market, Europe, and other regions.
The Space-Hub appears crossover-ish with a square-shaped back. Honda claims it will serve as a hub connecting people among themselves and with the environment.
Across the new series, Honda is promising enhanced autonomous driving, connect tech, battery efficiency, and better performance. The automaker promises charging times of between 10 to 15 minutes before 2030.
Some of the EVs in the Honda 0 Series might be built closer to home as Honda is considering building an $18.4 billion EV plant in Canada.
