Revel has announced its plans to expand its all-electric rideshare fleet by incorporating Kia Niro EVs. This diversification effort will see the addition of approximately 50 Kia Niro EVs to Revel’s existing fleet of over 230 Tesla Model Ys and Model 3s, which are already actively serving customers throughout New York City.
By the end of June, Revel’s first Kia Niro EVs will hit the roads, offering rideshare customers convenient pick-up and drop-off services in all five boroughs, select areas of northern New Jersey, and the three major airports in New York City.
The 2023 Kia Niro EV comes with an EPA-estimated range of 253 miles (407km), making it an ideal fit for Revel’s rideshare service, which requires vehicles to operate for full 8+ hour shifts on a single charge. With its 201 horsepower and a 64.8 kWh battery compatible with 100 kW DC fast charging, the Niro will charge alongside Revel’s existing fleet at the company’s network of public fast charging stations.
