SpaceX is continuing to exert its dominance in the cruise line industry. Aqua Expeditions, a small ship expedition operator, has recently introduced Starlink Wi-Fi to its fleet of ships.
According to the company the satellite internet technology is currently live on three of its ships – Aqua Mare, Aqua Nera, and Aqua Blu, and will soon be available on Aria Amazon and Aqua Mekong by September 2023.
Aqua Expeditions says it is now the only small ship expedition line to offer Starlink technology on its voyages, making it stand out in the cruise industry. The main objective of this new addition is to provide guests with the best possible cruise ship Wi-Fi connection, particularly during longer voyages. Aqua Expeditions’ CEO, Francesco Galli Zugaro, emphasized the importance of this new feature, stating that their guests’ satisfaction is a top priority.
“I am excited to offer reliable quality internet service to our guests and grew. Our goal is to provide the best possible Wi-Fi connection to allow guests to stay in touch with friends and family, particularly during our longer voyages of seven, 12 and 14 nights,” said Francesco Galli Zugaro, CEO & founder of Aqua Expeditions.
All guests of Aqua Expeditions’ ships will have access to two hours of complimentary Wi-Fi per day. Additionally, they can purchase unlimited Wi-Fi access for $100 per person per cruise. With this new addition to their fleet, Aqua Expeditions is raising the bar for customer satisfaction in the industry, making it easier for guests to stay connected while enjoying their travels.
