Israel’s first Tesla Supercharger now open in Tel Aviv

Tesla started deliveries this week in Israel, just under two months after first opening for orders. Those new owners will now be able to enjoy fast charging with the opening of the first Supercharger in Tel Aviv.

Located at the Azrieli Center in downtown Tel Aviv, construction of the Supercharger began earlier this month. The 6-stall Supercharger features the latest V3 technology, capable of charging cars at up to 250kWh.

News of the opening was shared by the Israel EV Club on Instagram, showing a new white Model 3 getting a boost.

With the opening Tesla also revealed their pricing for using a Supercharger in Israel and it is lower than many were anticipating. Plugging in will cost owners NIS 1 ($0.38 CAD) per kWh. That is about half the price of other EV chargers in the country, reports Globes.

Tesla has plans to open another three locations in Israel in 2021. According to Tesla’s Supercharger map a Supercharger in Haifa was targeted to open in Q1, while the others in Beersheva and Eilat are scheduled to open in Q2 2021.
