Tesla is expanding its Supercharger network in Ontario, with construction underway on eight new V4 charging stalls in Port Hope.
The expansion is taking place at the existing Supercharger location on Telephone Road, just off Highway 401, beside Harvey’s and Free Topping Pizza.
The site currently has eight Supercharger stalls capable of delivering up to 150 kW, making it a convenient charging stop for Tesla owners travelling between Toronto and eastern Ontario.
Based on the construction activity, Tesla appears to be adding eight new V4 charging posts immediately west of the existing chargers, which are located on the eastern side of the parking lot, doubling the site’s capacity from eight to 16 charging stalls.
The addition should help reduce congestion at the location, particularly during busy travel periods when drivers heading along the Highway 401 corridor between Cobourg and Belleville.
