Lucid Air and prototype SUV spotted during promotional shoot ahead of next month’s launch

Lucid Motors has been in the headlines several times recently. The automaker last month announced its Lucid Air sedan had been tested and achieved the lowest drag coefficient ever of just 0.21.

The company also recently announced a delayed online event for September 9 to officially unveil the luxury electric sedan.

Now with just weeks to go until the curtain is lifted, the Lucid Air sedan and its next prototype SUV have been spotted in the hills of California.

According to photos posted to Twitter by @mvahead, the vehicles were spotted near Pescadero, California in what appeared to be a promotional photo and video shoot.

We’ve seen several images of the electric Air before, but these are the first real images of the electric SUV, which is expected to be released at some point after the Air.

The SUV appears to feature an integrated roof rack, and has a sleek, sharply sloping windshield. The vehicle also appears to have a low roofline, and has a two-tone paint job just like the Air.

We’ll learn more about these new vehicles soon, but until then, what do you think of the design? Let us know in the comments below. For comparison, here are some promotional images released by the automaker of the Air.
