Nova Scotia’s Supercharger network is about to get an unannounced boost, with a new Supercharger station now under construction in Truro. The new station, located at The Hub Shopping Centre at 245 Robie Street, will become only the fifth Supercharger in the province, joining existing sites in Yarmouth, Digby, Enfield, and New Minas.
According to photos shared on the Electric Vehicle Association of Atlantic Canada Facebook page, construction crews were spotted installing 8 V4 Supercharger stalls using the company’s prefabricated pedestals, in a fenced-off section of the shopping centre’s parking lot.
This will be Nova Scotia’s first V4 installation, capable of delivering charging speeds up to 325kW for compatible Tesla and non-Tesla electric vehicles (EVs).

The Truro location is a strategically important addition. Situated near the intersection of Highway 104 and Highway 102, it will serve as a major hub for travellers, helping close a notable gap in Tesla’s charging coverage across the province.
The Hub Shopping Centre is an ideal host location, offering access to food, shopping, washrooms, and other amenities while drivers are plugged in.
The installation of the Truro Supercharger comes as a bit of a surprise as it has not appeared on Tesla’s map as a possible upcoming location. Two other stations are planned however, both of them Supercharger voting winners – Liverpool, Halifax, and Aulds Cove.
Although Tesla has not yet listed the Truro station on its Supercharger map, construction progress suggests it could be activated before the end of the year, assuming no delays with electrical work or utility hookups.
