Porsche and Audi gain access to Tesla’s Supercharger network in North America

Porsche and Audi have announced their electric vehicle (EV) owners will soon have access to Tesla’s Supercharger network. Beginning September 9, Porsche drivers will be able to plug into more than 23,500 Tesla Superchargers across Canada and the U.S., while Audi will begin rolling out access for select e-tron models later in September 2025.

Charging Access Through Adapters

Both automakers are using NACS (North American Charging Standard) adapters to bridge compatibility with Tesla’s network. Porsche is introducing its Porsche NACS DC adapter, while Audi will offer its own UL2252-certified NACS to CCS adapter as a port-installed accessory on most new 2025 e-tron models, including the Q6 e-tron, A6 Sportback e-tron, and e-tron GT.

Porsche’s rollout begins with a soft launch requiring drivers to use the Tesla mobile app to initiate charging sessions. Porsche says a more seamless experience via the My Porsche app, with plug-and-charge capability, is planned for the coming months.

Audi’s customers will also start by activating sessions through the Tesla app, with integration into the myAudi app and navigation arriving as part of future updates.

Adapter Availability and Pricing

For Porsche, model year 2026 Taycan and Macan Electric vehicles will come with the adapter included at no additional cost. Owners of 2025 Taycans and all existing Macan Electrics can reserve a complimentary unit via the My Porsche app. Customers with 2024 or older Taycans can purchase the adapter for $250 in Canada or $185 in the U.S. through Porsche Centers or the Porsche Online Shop.

Audi’s NACS DC adapter will begin arriving in September 2025 as standard equipment on new e-tron purchases. Availability for existing e-tron owners will be announced at a later date, although pricing for the adapter was not announced.

The adapter will be compatible with most e-tron models, though Audi has confirmed that the Q4 e-tron is excluded for now, with updates on its compatibility expected in the future.

Charge Planning and Software Updates

To support this expansion, Porsche is also upgrading its navigation software. Starting with the 2026 model year, all Taycan and Macan EVs will feature integrated Supercharger locations. Owners of 2024 and 2025 Macan EVs will receive the update by year’s end, while earlier Taycan variants will follow. Porsche says all updates will be free of charge.

Audi is similarly enhancing its myAudi app and onboard navigation, ensuring Supercharger locations appear as points of interest (POI) once the rollout begins.

Expanding the Supercharger Ecosystem

Porsche joins a growing list of automakers already supporting Tesla’s charging standard, including Ford, GM, Rivian, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Volvo, Lucid, Polestar, Genesis, Honda, Acura, and Jaguar Land Rover.

Brands set to follow soon include BMW, Toyota, Volkswagen, Audi, and Subaru.
