Tesla has updated their vehicle lineup in Canada on Thursday, bringing the updated Model S and Model X to Canada. Unfortunately while the updated designs of these premium vehicles are now available, their prices have unfortunately been raised even further, as much as $9,000.
Tesla first introduced the updated Model S and Model X designs in the U.S. in June. The refresh focused on subtle enhancements to boost efficiency, ride comfort, and interior refinement without major overhauls to the powertrain or design. Among the most notable improvements is that both models now feature a front bumper camera for better visibility and likely improved FSD performance.
Exterior tweaks were minimal but include new paint options like Frost Blue Metallic and Diamond Black, along with updated wheel designs, and exclusive front and rear bumper designs the Model S Plaid. However, the refresh also brought with it a US$5,000 price increase across all trims.
Now the updated Model S and X are also available in Canada, but also with higher prices.
According to Tesla’s online configurator, the Model S All-Wheel Drive (AWD) starts at $139,990 (+$6,000) and Plaid for $159,990 (+$5,000), while the Model X AWD starts at $149,990 (+$9,000) and the Plaid for $169,990 (+$8,000).

Frost Blue Metallic and Diamond Black paint are also available for both the Model S and Model X.

Bringing the new Model S and Model X to Canada wasn’t the only change Tesla made on Thursday night. The automaker also lowered the price of the Model Y AWD, the only variant available in Canada, by $20,000, likely due to the electric SUV now being imported from Giga Berlin.
