New Electrify Canada EV chargers under construction in Salmon Arm

Electrify Canada is continuing their expansion into British Columbia after opening their first electric vehicle (EV) charging station in the province last month in Merritt.

Construction is now well underway at one of the other planned locations for their network at the Piccadilly Mall in Salmon Arm.

Located in the parking lot of the Canadian Tire at 1151-10th Avenue SW, the company is building a 4-stall EV charging station that is expected to be operational by the fall.

Three of the four EV chargers at this location will be DC Fast Chargers, while the fourth will be a charger that can deliver peak charging rates of up to 350kW.

The Model 3 and Model Y can charge at up to 250kW. So too can the Model S and Model X thanks to a recent update. Only the Porsche Taycan can claim a faster charging speed, which according to the automaker can charge a at a rate of 270 kW.

Electrify Canada currently charges a $1 session fee, along with rates from from $0.27/min up to $1.07/min. Users can also opt for the Electrify Canada Pass+, which costs $4 per month, waives the session fee and reduces the cost to charge by roughly 20 cents per minute.
