GM will also have a Super Bowl ad for their upcoming electric Hummer

We’ve already seen two other legacy automakers, Porsche and Audi, buying the most expensive airtime in an attempt to boost sales of their latest EVs.

Now General Motors has joined the pack, as they revealed a sneak peek of their upcoming Super Bowl LIV ad featuring their electric GMC Hummer, which is reportedly due out in late 2021, around the same time as the first Cybertrucks (coincidence?).

According to new teaser images and the video they have released, the Hummer will return with 1,000 horsepower and a 0-60mph time of 3 seconds. It will also have an estimated 11,500 lb-ft of torque.

Visually we don’t get to see much of the Hummer in the ad, but we do get a look at the front grill, and it definitely resembles the grill from the previous generation Hummer which ended production in 2010.

More details, including battery, range, and the all important price information will be revealed on May 20, 2020, when GM holds an event to officially unveil their new electric Hummer.

In the meantime, check out the teaser ad below. Do you think this will be a Cybertruck competitor?
