Fisker has joined the growing list of automakers who have made the switch the Tesla’s NACS connector.
The company confirmed they have come to an agreement with Tesla to use the NACS connector starting in Q1 2025.
In a press release, Fisker noted:
The move will provide Fisker owners with additional charging options, taking advantage of Tesla’s 12,000 Supercharger stations in the United States and Canada. All current and future Fisker vehicles will be covered by the agreement.
Fisker will eventually switch to NACS for their vehicles, but until then, a CCS adapter will be provided to owners to use both CCS and NACS as of 2025.
Although General Motors, Ford, and Rivian have switched to NACS, there are still a few holdouts in North America. Hyundai and Volkswagen are the two largest holdouts who are not against standardization but may be wary of monetizing a competitor.
For Tesla, charging agreements like the one with Fisker will see yet another profitable arm for the company. In fact, charging arrangements may end up being one of the biggest positive cash flows for Tesla in the coming years, depending on how standardization and the deployment of chargers go in North America.
Either way, Fisker owners are now set with CCS and NACS charging access as of 2025.
