SpaceX Starship Ready For Second Launch, But Awaiting FAA Approval

SpaceX’s full stack Starship is on the launch pad at Starbase in Texas, ready to launch. During the test, the company aims to put the spacecraft into orbit. When that will actually happen is still uncertain as SpaceX is currently awaiting FAA license approval.

The largest rocket in the history of mankind is fully assembled and ready to launch. The Starship 25 and Booster 9 ship is fully assembled and installed on the launch pad at Starbase in Texas. If, as a result of the launch, the ship enters Earth orbit, then this will be a turning point for humanity. Equipped with 33 engines, the ship has not yet received FAA license approval, so its launch will have to wait.

The Starship is the largest rocket ever built by humans. It has a height of 120 meters, a diameter of 9 meters, and is installed on a launch pad almost 20 meters high. SpaceX has completed all preparations for the second test flight of Starship, after correcting the mistakes made during the first test launch. Like the first time, the goal of the launch is to get Starship into orbit. If the company fails to do so, the data will be analyzed again and improvements made for the next test run. The first attempt was made in April this year.

SpaceX has shared stunning new images and videos from the Starbase launch complex. It features a Booster 9, a Starship 25, and an elaborate launch tower named Mechazilla.

At the moment, it remains unknown how long it will take to obtain FAA license approval. Since the flight is a test, there is still a risk that it will explode at any stage. However, if you do not take risks at all, humanity will not be able to develop. Therefore, it is important to find the right balance between caution and the desire for progress. After the first launch, which ended in a deliberate explosion of the ship, the FAA made a number of adjustments that SpaceX had to take into account. The FAA said on Sept. 7 that the Starship mishap investigation remains open, saying that until all required changes are made, it will not approve the launch.
