Tesla 2021.44.30.7 software update rolling out with more cold weather improvements [Updated with Release Notes]

Just one day after releasing 2021.44.30.6, Tesla has started deploying their next iteration today, 2021.44.30.7.

The update was first spotted just after 1:00pm PST by a Tesla owner in the Netherlands.

Yesterday’s update contained what Tesla considered critical bug fixes for the issue of heat pumps failing in cold weather.

Unfortunately the fixes didn’t seem to work for everyone, with many owners reporting to us their cars were still unable to produce any heat.

We have yet to see the release notes for this version, but according to a source there are more cold weather improvements included in this version.

We will have to wait and see if Tesla found another potential solution to the heat pump problem.

UPDATE 3:51pm PST: The 2021.44.30.7 release notes are the same as the Holiday Software Update, with the exception of a new ‘Cold Weather Improvements’ feature.

Cold Weather Improvements

You can now pre-condition the cabin from the Tesla app when your battery is at a lower state of charge. Simply turn on the climate from your Tesla app and override the previous setting by tapping “Yes” on the confirmation pop-up window.

Note: To proect your car’s battery, climate will remain unavailable under extreme low charge scenarios. The feature requires the Tesla mobile app version 4.4.0 or later.
