Canadian Tesla owners get Canada Day gift from Tesla in latest 2020.24.6.3 software update

Just over a week after US Tesla owners got the update that allows Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control (TLSSC) to proceed through green lights, the update, along with several other highly anticipated new features, has now been pushed to Canadian Tesla owners in the latest software update.

The update, 2020.24.6.3, was first spotted by Tesla hacker @greentheonly, who confirmed with Drive Tesla that this is a very wide push to Canadian owners. Just moments later, it appeared on our Model 3.

It contains not only green light traffic control, but also the new backup camera improvements, dashcam viewer improvements, walk-away lock improvements, and two other minor updates. Interestingly, the controversial activation of the cabin camera is not included in this release as it was in the US.

You can check out our detailed breakdown of these new features here.

Another new feature that is not included in the release notes is the addition of new wheel options in the ‘Wheel Configuration’ menu – your car’s avatar can now display the naked aero wheels (and Zero-G referral wheels)!
