Two new Tesla Semis roll out of Giga Nevada

Tesla appears to be progressing with their limited production of the Tesla Semi at Giga Nevada.

Two newly built electric semis were spotted parked outside the factory last night.

Several photos of the two white electric trucks were shared with Tesla enthusiast Sawyer Merritt, who according to his source said they were “brand new.”

As pointed out by Merritt, we can see the open frunk (front trunk) in one of the photos, showing the popular feature has remained in the design of the Semi.

We obviously can’t tell how big it is from this photo, but we have seen close ups of it open on an earlier version of the semi in 2019.

In early December we first told you about Giga Nevada’s new Semi production line. We were expecting the first units to be delivered to PepsiCo before the end of the year, as revealed by CEO Ramon Laguerta during an interview on CNBC last month.

Unless Tesla and PepsiCo have been able to keep them hidden from the public eye, those deliveries haven’t taken place yet, but with this latest sighting they might take place very soon.

Other than the CEOs comments, PepsiCo subsidiary Frito-Lay has been preparing for their arrival. Construction began last month on the first Semi Megacharger at a Frito-Lay facility in Modesto, California.
