The Giga Lab gives a sneak peek into Tesla manufacturing in a new concept store

Tesla has launched its latest marketing endeavour in China, the Giga Lab concept store located in Chengdu in central China. Giga Lab is a Tesla store that imitates Giga Shanghai and the manufacturing process that happens with every Tesla. The store is designed so potential customers “can feel the hardcore beauty of Tesla.”

According to a post announcing the Giga Lab on Twitter by Tesla Asia, the store provides potential customers with an immersive experience that showcases how Tesla builds its vehicles in around 45 seconds.

As you can see from the photos, visitors can walk through and see a Model 3 being built and the components that go into manufacturing. It is unclear if this concept will be making its way to Europe or North America, but it is certainly a unique take on selling an EV.

Tesla is battling it out for EV supremacy in the overcrowded EV market in China, so that out-of-the-box marketing could be a difference maker. The question is, will this concept be a homerun as Tesla continues to battle with BYD and the likes of NIO, Li Auto and Xpeng, to name just a few.

You can see even more photos of the Giga Lab via Tesla Asia’s Twitter post below.
