Tesla takes home five Brand Image Awards from Kelley Blue Book

Tesla has taken home several Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards, including a dominating performance in the Luxury Brand category where the Texas-based automaker won four of the six available awards.

According to KBB their Brand Image Awards aim to recognize automakers that have the ability to captivate and entice new customers, rather than just raising awareness about their brand’s existence among consumers, something which it says is essential to be successful in the automotive industry.

Tesla has certainly done that, and without an advertising budget, based on data from their annual Brand Watch Study, which contained data from over 12,000 in-market, new vehicle shoppers. Tesla won the following awards:

  • Best Overall Luxury Brand (4th year in a row),
  • Best Value Luxury Brand (2nd year in a row),
  • Most Refined Luxury Brand (2nd year in a row), and
  • Best Performance Luxury Brand (2nd year in a row).

The only two Luxury categories Tesla did not win were the Most Trusted Luxury Brand, which went to Lexus, and Best Styling Luxury Brand, which was awarded to Porsche.

Tesla’s winning ways didn’t stop there, also winning as Best EV Brand. This was the first time KBB has included this category in their awards, noting that its inclusion was due to the growing popularity of EVs among its users.
