Tesla Supercharger under construction in Delta [British Columbia]

Tesla has quietly started construction of a new Supercharger in Delta, British Columbia. This will be the third Supercharger station for the City of Delta, located just south of Vancouver.

Despite no indication on Tesla’s map of a planned Supercharger for Delta, the new station is located on Annacis Island in the parking lot of the Wendy’s and Tim Hortons at 1359 Cliveden Ave. Based on photos of the site taken today by one of our readers, Next Inspections (@NextInspect), 12 Supercharger posts have been installed, with much of the associated equipment also already in place.

There is still a significant amount of groundwork to complete, and the site is also missing the transformer, so it will likely still be at least a month or two before this new Supercharger goes live.

This is the third Supercharger for Delta, but the first in the eastern part of the city. The other two stations are located in the western part of Delta, one at Tsawwassen Mills shopping center, and the other at Ladner Center, which opened just last year.

There is currently one other Supercharger in the lower mainland of BC under construction, and that is in North Vancouver. Tesla also opened up two new Superchargers this week in the interior of the province in Clearwater and Valemount, with a third waiting to be turned on in Manning Park.
