Tesla first hinted that they would be expanding into the Maritimes just over one year ago with two job postings for a Sales Advisor and Service Technician in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
In the 13 months since then it has been strangely quiet, until August when Tesla reposted the Sales Advisor position to their careers website.
Around the same time we began hearing rumours Tesla had secured a location for a new Sales, Service, and Delivery Center and were awaiting approval for a business license before they could officially open.
We also heard from several customers with orders for new cars that they were being advised they would likely be picking up their cars in Halifax before the end of the year, thereby avoiding a long drive to Ottawa to take delivery.
In the latest sign Tesla is close to opening in the Halifax/Dartmouth area, they have republished the job posting for a Service Technician.
According to the posting (ID 107192), the service technicians “are the heart of every service location and we rely on their expertise in process improvement and in the delivery of the best service and products to our customers.”
